Linda Dean

Linda Chachere Dean has lived in Evanston, Illinois for 30 years, but originally comes from the South. Growing up in the South created a rather limited view of the role that women could play in life and moving to the Chicago area opened up Linda's horizons considerably. At the time of her move, Linda was married to an engineer and raising her children, however, as her horizons began to expand, Linda discovered that she too was good in engineering. This led her back to school for a BS in Biomedical Engineering, allowing her to open her own business in Orthotics and Prosthetics. Her business has flourished over the last 16 years. A shift in perspective was created after Linda's divorce 6 years ago, which propelled her to her own personal growth seminars, process painting classes and coaching seminars. She began to realize that her work in Prosthetics and Orthotics, although very satisfying, was focused on what was wrong with people and how to fix it. Coaching provided Linda with the bigger picture, looking to what is right and how to creatively tap into that. "I feel like some huge door has been ripped off it's hinges so that I can walk or dance through into this wide open space with limitless possibilities....and I want to share that with everyone."

Jim Parks

Jim Parks' daytime career is the Host of "New Spaces," a home remodeling TV show on HGTV (Home and Garden TV). He participated in a Men's Warrior group and became very interested in drumming. When he is not in front of the camera, Jim pulls out his drums and leads drum circles for experienced & novice drummers alike. For Jim, drum circles are magical coming together of individuals into a rhythmic community, where "audible hearts" can reach out to support each other. In this time of turmoil when fearful things might become all too real, the need to connect with inner light and step into the comforting rhythm of a community drum circle is greater than ever before. Jim gives private lessons as well as leads drumming circles at the studio and elsewhere.
